Coming Soon.. Fabric Smartphone Case Tutorial

Hello all,

Christmas certainly is fast approaching, and I've found myself doing pretty good business in my Etsy shop. I just received a custom order for a smartphone case, which led me to think of what my next tutorial should be on! You guessed it! The next DIY tutorial will be on how to make your very own smartphone case.

Again, it's a very easy project where you will only need a few supplies and basic sewing skills, and just a little bit of time. These also make terrific Christmas gifts!

Here is a pic of the one I just custom made and shipped out today.

This phone case is padded with fleece to protect your cherished device. It has a fold over flap that closes with Velcro. It also works perfect for iPods. It will fit the iPhone, the Galaxy S3, the Android phones and anything else of similar size!

I can't wait to get started on that tutorial, and will be posting it very soon!

Until then,

XoXo,

Sara

Christmas Makes

 Christmas Makes!

Hello all!

One of the reasons I love Christmas so much is that it gives me a reason to go crazy and make loads of fun stuff! Not that I need a reason, but this gives me an even better reason! One of gifts I'm making this year is something that I just started making. It's a fabulous store point card/credit card wallet. It's so cute and pretty easy to make. And what woman couldn't use something to help her organize and keep up with all of those cards?! I for one have tons of store point cards that I sometimes forget to even use because I either can't find them or they're out of site and out of mind! Here's a look at one I've made so far.

It can hold up to as many as 20 cards if you double up. It will hold 10 cards if you don't double up. But it's so cute and room. A very trendy way to keep your cards. Here's what the outside looks like.

I'll be making a few of these in the next week. Here's a link to my Etsy shop if you would like to purchase this one.

I also have a matching smaller version that can be a credit or business card holder. That one fastens with a button and an elastic band! I made it from the same cute fabric and used a blue button with white polkadots! Take a look.

This will hold up to 30 business cards!
Here's a link to purchase the business card holders, they're also great for gifts cards! I'll be making a bunch of these for Christmas as well.

Hopefully this will give you some ideas of things to make for Christmas as well. Happy sewing!!

Fabulous Etsy Treasury Lists

Good morning all!

Hopefully by now everyone is getting ready to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday. I know I'm looking forward to spending the next couple of days home with my family. Of course I will still be working in my shop continuing to prepare it for the Christmas season which is right around the bend.

One of the things I love about Etsy is the ability to make treasury lists. Treasury lists allow you to put together a theme list of items you find around Etsy that you love and that inspires you. It's always an honor to have an item featured in someone's treasury list. After all, they chose one of your items out of the hundreds and thousands of items on Etsy! Treasury lists can also make it easier for shoppers to find specific items and like items that they're looking for. Some lists are put together with a color scheme, some with product themes. I'll be sharing a couple of recent treasury lists that some of my products have been featured in.

The first one is: Skulls.. We All Have Them!

https://www.etsy.com/treasury/MTI0NzYwODR8MjcyMjc2NDg2NQ/skullswe-all-have-them

As the title suggests, this list has a skull theme. It featured my Day of the Dead inspired skull earrings seen below!

The list also features many other amazing skull themed items such as home décor, necklaces, rings, a messenger bag, and even a skull flask!

The next treasury list is: Stocking Stuffers for Her

This list could definitely come in handy this Christmas season! It's filled with awesome and beautiful little stockings stuffers such as festive earrings, gorgeous knitted arm warmers, wine charms, all natural lip balms, a super cute peppermint ring, a gorgeous black and white makeup bag and more!

This list featured a double-stranded necklace I made with a beautiful square black pendant featuring white flowers.

Check out this wonderful treasury lists and you may just find that perfect Christmas present you've been searching for!

Until next time!

Christmas Time Earrings

Hi all!

I love Christmas. There's so many fun and cute things to make for gifts and stockings stuffers. These simple Christmas light bulb earrings are a shop favorite! I just added these to the seasonal jewelry.

And these jingle bell earrings sell out every year and have over 30 repins on Pinterest!

These mistletoe earrings are a bit more difficult to make and take a lot more time, but they're also a great seasonal seller. They also come with a cute little card that explains the legend of mistletoe!!

Here's a link to my shop if you would like to view these earrings and more. These can be found in the "Seasonal" section.

Until next time!

Christmas/Winter-Themed Items

Hi all!

Christmas is fast approaching, so I've been making some Christmas/Winter themed items! I'll share one.

Here's a cute zippered bag that can be used as a pencil pouch, cosmetics bag, or to carry anything your heart desires! It would be a great children's gift as well. It comes in three different sizes: Small, medium, and large. Made from two cute fabrics (sky blue with white polkadots and festive reindeers and Christmas trees) red ric rac trim for accent, and a matching red zipper!

The inside lining matches!

If you're interested in buying, here's a link to it on my Etsy shop!

I've also made a matching little girls two-tiered skirt that I will share soon!

Until next time!

Wrappings and Packagings

Hi all and happy Friday!

I'd like to share some of the cute ways I package my shop items to send them off to their new destination! Some of them may look similar, but each one is always unique. When someone orders something from my shop I like to show my appreciation by making the packaging super pretty and unique, that way it's like getting an extra gift!

I hand make thank you tags decorated with pretty sequins, I use pretty twine, paper or fabric flowers, buttons, and anything else I can use to make it look nice.

I always get great feedback on my packaging, and I love to know that it's appreciated and that it brightens ones day!

This weekend I'll be working on a DIY tutorial for easy cute fabric snack bags! All that's needed is simple sewing skills.

Until next time!

My Makes and My Metal Heart

Hi all,

I'd like to share a couple of my makes in this post and a link to my Etsy shop if you want to browse more of my stuff. I make so many different things, it's almost out of hand!

Below is a pic on one of my best sellers on Etsy. Reusable fabric snack bags! Not only that, this chevron print is so wanted right now you can practically sell anything made with this pattern.

These snack bags are also going to be my first DIY sewing tutorial! They are super easy to sew and take very little time and materials.

Here is a glimpse at some of the jewelry I make. I've been making jewelry for several years now and I'm constantly learning different techniques and trying new styles. This necklace is one of my favorites.

And here is a link to my Etsy shop!
